Your first visit will help us understand your chief complaint.
Dr. Aichinger-Pfandl will perform an initial examination and you will be asked to complete a brief medical history. We will then discuss treatment objectives and how to proceed.
We are happy to answer any questions and will assist you in your decision.
During your second visit, we will perform detailed diagnostic procedures to prepare your treatment. We will take photos, x-rays and plaster casts of your teeth. These casts will be mounted in an articulator, in correct relation to your joints.
As in architecture, precise planning is the foundation of a successful outcome.
Facial harmony and dental esthetics are of particular importance in planning your treatment. However, we also focus on ensuring the optimal function of your teeth, jaw joints and muscles to ensure your long-term dental health.
Dr. Aichinger-Pfandl will prepare a state-of-the-art treatment plan with the support of modern orthodontic software.
At this point, the total cost and estimated duration of your treatment can be calculated.
Orthodontic treatment can be carried out at any age. In growing children, it may be necessary to influence growth of the jaws.
In this case, we recommend interceptive treatment for 12 to 18 months during your child’s mixed dentition phase (generally between the ages of 9 and 10).
The main treatment phase follows the eruption of all permanent teeth around the age of 12 for a period of approximately 24 months.
Good cooperation between patient, parent, orthodontist and dentist are essential building blocks of an optimal treatment result.
It is vital that you inform us of any concerns or issues you may have regarding your treatment. We ask for your cooperation in keeping your appointments and ensuring your oral health.
Straight teeth are not only about a great smile!
Achieving the best possible result is essential for the stability of your treatment’s outcome.
It helps to maintain healthy teeth and gums throughout life, and prevents jaw joint problems.
